The Legend of the Christmas Tree
As told by my dear friend Jim Moreno...........

When the earth was formed and the water and the land was developed by the Almighty, great forests appeared and covered many part of the earth. The land was green and plentiful.

The Lord then made the animals of the land, the birds and lions, ants and frogs, horses and llamas and a host of others that will roam the land.

There were four seasons, spring, summer, fall and winter. This story begins in the middle of the winter in one of the great forests.

The little bird had been trying to fly home, but the wind and snow were becoming heavier and heavier. He flapped his wings against the cold and he was getting tired. It was a battle just to keep on going and it was getting dark out so the little bird decided to fly down and find a tree to rest in for the evening.

The little bird swooped down and with the eyes half closed because of the blinding snow he landed in a great oak tree.

As soon as he landed, he shook the ice from his wings. The tree started to shake and he heard a voice saying, "What are you doing in my tree?’ It was the tall oak tree speaking.

"I was very tired and cold from the winter storm and thought I could rest a while on one of your branches," said the little bird.

"Well you thought wrong. These are my branches and you are not welcomed on them. Get up and fly away," said the mighty oak tree.

"I didn’t mean to offend you, but could I just stay on this branch for a few minutes to dry my wings," the little bird said.

"No," said the oak tree, and shook his branches so that little bird had no other alternative but to fly off.

The little bird searched for several minutes and flew and landed on a tall maple tree nearby. The little bird settled on a branch high on the tree and shook his wings to remove the ice from them.

"And what do you think you are doing?" chimed the maple tree.

"I’m sorry, but I am very tired and cold and need a place to rest. Can I rest here awhile so that I can gain my strength back," said the little bird.

"Not on your life. I am a maple tree and don’t let anybody just come and stay on my branches. Be gone with you,’ the maple tree responded.

The little bird was frightfully tired, but didn’t want to offend the maple tree. "I’m sorry Mr. maple tree", the little bird said, and stretched his wings to fly away.

Then he heard a little voice. "Come sit on my branches and rest awhile." The little bird looked around and there on the floor of the forest was a little tiny pine tree and from that tree came a sweet little voice. "Come and rest. It is alright. You are welcome to warm yourself underneath my branches and stay as long as you like."

The little bird opened his wings and with a smile on his face, swooped down and landed on a branch of the little pine tree. "Thank you for letting me rest on your branches," said the little bird to the pine tree. The pine tree then covered the little bird with several of her branches to protect the bird from the biting cold. And the little bird fell asleep and rested.

The Lord of the Forest was watching this whole thing from above and was so impressed with the little pine tree that the Lord decided that he would have to do something special about it. And that is why from that time on the pine tree remains green all year long even in the wintertime when all the other trees lose their leaves. It is to commemorate the spirit of the pine tree and his willingness to be kind, loving and helpful.

The Lord also change the name of the pine tree to the "Christmas Tree" and it is the only tree taken from the forest around Christmas time that is decorated with lights and candles to commemorate another great event and this is the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

So now you know the story of the Christmas tree. And always remember that the name Christmas contains the name of Christ.

Đang dạo thư quán thấy có bài trả lời mới nhào vô coi tưởng có thêm tin tức Ai ngờ là được 1 câu hỏi Nhưng mà TI hỏi vậy khác gì tự giới thiệu rồi ,mà nếu hổng phải Thông thì Tùng hay Bách hé ! Đều là tên đẹp ! Chúc mừng !
Còn tại sao hứng thú thì...dài dòng lắm !

Mình không thể tìm được bài giải thích về mặt sinh học tại sao lá thông xanh quanh năm

Dù sao cũng cảm tạ Silk đã mất công giúp đỡ và cái bài kia cũng thú vị lắm Mình cũng search trên mạng rồi mà ko thấy Đành từ từ tìm vậy.

Ôi dào, thông hay tùng đều là lão TI nhà ta cả. Vi vi sụp bẫy TI rồi
